1. Location, Location, Location:
Have you ever thought about where you stash your tissues? It actually matters! Avoid damp or sun-soaked spots. A bathroom which has poor ventilation might turn your tissues soggy and make a big mess out of it. On the other hand, too much sun can leave them feeling like sandpaper. Opt for a cool and dry spot like a shelf or cabinet to keep them fresh.
2. Boxed in Bliss:
Keep them in their original packaging i.e., their original box, whenever possible. The box will shield them against dust, dirt, and your pets which might curiously play mess around with them otherwise. In addition to that, keeping them boxed helps maintain their shape and prevents them from drying out.
3. Bulk Up Wisely:
Bulk buying your tissues can be a smart move, but do not go overboard. If you’re living alone, a giant pack might last you a lifetime – which is obviously a long time to hang around. Consider your needs and choose a bulk quantity that you actually need and will use within a reasonable timeframe.
4. Gentle Giant:
Sometimes we are in a rush, and we grab a tissue and end up with a whole handful, we have all been there. Try to be a bit gentler when you are pulling a tissue out. It will prevent tearing and ensure you only take what you need – Less mess and less waste for you and the planet!
5. Recycle and Repurpose:
Most tissue boxes are actually recyclable, Look out for the recycling symbol and toss them in the recycling bin when you are done. And hey, those empty boxes of tissue can even be reincarnated if you get crafty and use them for storage, seedling planters, or whatever you can think of.
